Quick-Step Majestic Desert Oak Light Natural laminate flooring has a light natural oak effect with sandy beige tones and softly defined knots. The pale background keeps the floor bright while retaining the character of oak. Its 240mm width and 2050mm length give each board a broad, uninterrupted appearance.
The 9.5mm boards have a moisture-resistant HDF core, Scratch Guard surface protection and HydroSeal technology for resistance to surface water. Majestic is rated AC4 and Class 32 for domestic and moderate commercial use. Its genuine pressed bevels carry the oak effect around all four edges.
Each plank measures 240 × 2050mm and fits with the Uniclic click system over a suitable laminate underlay. A pack contains six planks and covers 2.952m². The floor is priced per m² and supplied in complete packs, with the calculator showing the total coverage and order value.
Desert Oak Light Natural is a versatile light oak design for bedrooms, hallways and connected living spaces. It offers a warm neutral colour without a strong golden cast.
Suitable for indoor living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens, as well as moderate commercial applications within the Class 32 specification.
Bathrooms are suitable when the floor is installed and sealed to Quick-Step’s wet-area instructions. Use the specified compressible Foamstrip and Hydrokit at the perimeter, profiles and penetrations, plus Hydrostrip where required for matching skirting or scotia. Not suitable for showers, wet rooms with floor drains, saunas, pool areas or outdoor use.
Match the sandy tones with cream cabinetry, warm white paint and natural textiles. Darker wood furniture or coloured accents stand out against the pale floor.
HydroSeal protects against surface moisture. Majestic has a 72-hour standing-water limit under the manufacturer’s conditions. Remove spills promptly and follow the full installation and care instructions. This protection does not cover flooding, plumbing leaks or moisture rising from the subfloor.
Warranty: Quick-Step provides a lifetime residential warranty, defined in its conditions as a maximum of 65 years, and a 15-year residential water-resistance warranty. Allow for cuts and waste when planning the floor. A 10% allowance is a useful starting point for a straightforward plank layout; your fitter should confirm the allowance for your room shape. Add the allowance once and order the full project quantity together.
Preparation and fitting: acclimatise unopened packs flat for at least 48 hours in the installation area, at 15–25°C and 30–85% relative humidity. The subfloor must be dry, sound and suitably level. Use a suitable laminate underlay and the specified moisture barrier where required. Keep the floor floating, with expansion space as instructed; do not trap it beneath fixed kitchen units or other permanent fittings.
Underfloor heating and cooling: suitable with compatible low-temperature water or electric systems and the correct floor build-up. Keep the finished floor surface at or below 27°C. Follow the heating-system and Quick-Step commissioning instructions, choose an appropriate underlay and change temperatures gradually. Floor cooling requires dew-point and condensation control.
Cleaning: vacuum or sweep with a soft head, then clean with a well-wrung microfibre mop and a suitable laminate cleaner. Remove spills promptly, use entrance mats and protect furniture feet. Steam cleaning requires Quick-Step’s prescribed cloth-covered steam head, even heat distribution and continuous movement. Do not apply steam directly to the planks. Do not sand, oil or wax the laminate surface.
Majestic is tested to EN 13329 with an AC4 abrasion rating. Its thermal resistance is 0.061m²K/W before adding an underlay. Fire classification is Cfl-s1 with Quick-Step underlays. The flooring is antistatic, and the technical sheet lists EU Ecolabel, PEFC and Nordic Ecolabel certification.
AC4 describes abrasion resistance; it is different from the appearance grades used for real wood. Class 32 describes the intended use level. Select the underlay and complete floor build-up to suit the room, subfloor and heating system.

Can it be fitted over underfloor heating?
Yes, with a compatible low-temperature system and suitable underlay. The finished floor surface must not exceed 27°C, and the full commissioning instructions must be followed.
Does the floor have bevelled edges?
Yes. Majestic has genuine pressed bevels around all four sides of each plank, with the design continuing into the edges.
Can I sand or oil the floor?
No. Majestic is a finished laminate surface, not a sandable timber wear layer. Use suitable laminate cleaning products.
