Quick-Step Classic Reclaimed White Patina Oak laminate flooring has a pale whitewashed oak look with soft grey variation and weathered grain. The reclaimed-style print combines faded markings with fine surface texture, while the square edges create a continuous look across the room.
The 8mm planks have a moisture-resistant HDF core, Scratch Guard surface protection and HydroSeal technology for resistance to surface water. Classic is rated AC4 and Class 32 for domestic and moderate commercial use. Square edges give the fitted floor a continuous appearance without bevels.
Each plank measures 190 × 1200mm and fits with the Uniclic click system over a suitable laminate underlay. A pack contains seven planks and covers 1.596m². The floor is priced per m² and supplied in complete packs, with the calculator showing the total coverage and order value.
Choose Reclaimed White Patina Oak for a light floor with more character than a plain white finish. Its aged-looking grain adds interest without strong dark plank outlines, making it a useful backdrop for bedrooms, living spaces and hallways.
Suitable for indoor living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens, as well as moderate commercial applications within the Class 32 specification.
Bathrooms are suitable when the floor is installed and sealed to Quick-Step’s wet-area instructions. Use the specified compressible Foamstrip and Hydrokit at the perimeter, profiles and penetrations, plus Hydrostrip where required for matching skirting or scotia. Not suitable for showers, wet rooms with floor drains, saunas, pool areas or outdoor use.
Pair the white-grey palette with chalky walls, linen fabrics and pale timber. Black lighting or aged metal fittings provide definition, while muted sage and dusty blue pick up the cooler tones.
HydroSeal protects against surface moisture. Classic has a 24-hour standing-water limit under the manufacturer’s conditions. Remove spills promptly and follow the full installation and care instructions. This protection does not cover flooding, plumbing leaks or moisture rising from the subfloor.
Warranty: Quick-Step provides a lifetime residential warranty, defined in its conditions as a maximum of 65 years, and a 10-year residential water-resistance warranty. Commercial cover is five years under the standard conditions. Eligibility, exclusions, fitting and maintenance requirements apply. Read the complete Quick-Step laminate warranty.
Each pack contains seven planks and covers 1.596m². Enter your required area in the Timberwharf calculator to see the number of full packs, total area supplied and order total.
Allow for cuts and waste when planning the floor. A 10% allowance is a useful starting point for a straightforward layout; your fitter should confirm the allowance for your room shape and chosen direction. Add the allowance once and order the full project quantity together.
The pack coverage refers to seven physical straight planks. Plan doorways, thresholds, expansion gaps and the first and last rows before installation. Matching trims, skirting and underlay are separate items.
Preparation and fitting: acclimatise unopened packs flat for at least 48 hours in the installation area, at 15–25°C and 30–85% relative humidity. The subfloor must be dry, sound and suitably level. Use a suitable laminate underlay and the specified moisture barrier where required. Keep the floor floating, with expansion space as instructed; do not trap it beneath fixed kitchen units or other permanent fittings.
Underfloor heating and cooling: suitable with compatible low-temperature water or electric systems and the correct floor build-up. Keep the finished floor surface at or below 27°C. Follow the heating-system and Quick-Step commissioning instructions, choose an appropriate underlay and change temperatures gradually. Floor cooling requires dew-point and condensation control.
Cleaning: vacuum or sweep with a soft head, then clean with a well-wrung microfibre mop and a suitable laminate cleaner. Remove spills promptly, use entrance mats and protect furniture feet. Do not use a steam cleaner on Classic. Do not sand, oil, polish or wax the finished laminate surface.
Plank layout: mix planks from several packs to balance the print variation. Quick-Step recommends a random stagger for plank flooring. Keep end joints in neighbouring rows at least 30cm apart, first and last planks longer than 20cm, and the first and last rows at least 5cm wide. Follow the installation guide for expansion allowances and room-size limits. These are straight planks, not herringbone boards.
Classic is tested to EN 13329 with an AC4 abrasion rating. Its thermal resistance is 0.055m²K/W before adding an underlay. Fire classification is Cfl-s1 with Quick-Step underlays. The flooring is antistatic, and the technical sheet lists EU Ecolabel, PEFC and Nordic Ecolabel certification.
AC4 describes abrasion resistance; it is different from the appearance grades used for real wood. Class 32 describes the intended use level. Select the underlay and complete floor build-up to suit the room, subfloor and heating system.
What is Quick-Step Classic Reclaimed White Patina Oak?
Reclaimed White Patina Oak is an 8mm oak-effect laminate in Quick-Step’s Classic collection. It has a pale whitewashed oak look with soft grey variation and weathered grain, with a finished decorative surface over a moisture-resistant HDF core. It is not solid or engineered oak.
How large are the planks?
Each straight plank measures 190mm wide × 1200mm long × 8mm thick.
How many planks and square metres are in a pack?
Each pack contains seven planks and covers 1.596m². The calculator rounds the required area up to complete packs.
Does this design have bevelled edges?
Square edges give the fitted floor a continuous appearance without bevels.
Is Classic waterproof?
HydroSeal provides resistance to surface water, with a 24-hour standing-water limit under the manufacturer’s warranty conditions. Correct wet-area sealing is essential. Remove spills promptly; this does not cover flooding, plumbing leaks or moisture beneath the floor.
Can I use it in a kitchen or bathroom?
Yes, when installed and sealed to Quick-Step’s instructions. It is not suitable for showers, rooms with floor drains, saunas or pool areas.
Can it be fitted over underfloor heating?
Yes, with a compatible low-temperature system and suitable underlay. The finished floor surface must not exceed 27°C, and the full commissioning instructions must be followed.
Which laying pattern should I use?
Use a straight-plank layout with a random stagger, mixing planks from several packs. Follow the guide’s minimum 30cm offset between adjacent end joints and its edge-cut requirements. These planks are not designed for a herringbone pattern.
Can I use a steam cleaner?
No. Classic belongs to Quick-Step’s 10-year wet-warranty group. Use the specified damp-mopping method and remove standing water within 24 hours; the steam-cleaning guidance for other ranges does not apply.
Does the oak surface need oiling or sanding?
No. This is finished oak-effect laminate, not a real-wood wear layer. Do not sand, oil, polish or wax it. Use suitable laminate care products.
